Don't a lot of us have 2 jobs trying to make it..?

He invested in a business which could either fail or go up and lucky him his business will do well. Has it stopped him from handling his primary job?

He's got a big load weighing on his back just like President OBAMA.

GIVE THE MAN A CHANCE!!!!!! Stop being so negative and GIVE THE MAN A CHANCE!!!!!!

I think Mr. De Latour needs to remove himself from the government so he can eat as much as he wants until he fills up. Regardless, Someone is going to make a lot of money at the expense of the Haitian's people.

I DONT SEE NOTHING WRONG FOR PATRICK TO MAKE MONEY WITH THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE COUNTRY.

I HAD ENOUGH FAITH IN THE COUNTRY TO INVEST HIS MONEY WHEN THINGS WEREN'T GOOD, NOW THAT THE TIME HAS COME FOR HIM TO SEE FRUIT OF HIS EFFORT WHO ELSE DESERVE IT BETTER.

COMMON HAITIAN OPEN YOUR EYES. THIS IS EXACTLY HOW IT IS BEING DONE IN THOSE COUNTRY WE LIVING OUTSIDE HAITI.

WHAT WE NEED IS A SOLID SYSTEM SO PENALIZE ANYONE WITH WRONG DOING ON THE PEOPLE'S MONEY.

START BY CREATING GOOD JUSTICE SYSTEM TO DEAL WITH THOSE MATTERS INSTEAD OF UNFOUNDED MISTRUST ON EVERYBODY.

JUST MAKE SURE THAT THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT IS NOT BEHIND ANYONE IN POWER TO STOP THE CORRUPTION THAT SEEMS TO BE "AMERICAN INTEREST TO DEFEND IN EVRYONE SOIL".

I don't think any of us should be in charge of rebuilding the country!

There is a conflict of interest, Mr.Delatour is part of the gvt..His company that he has a share of 5% can not have a contract with the govt. to rebuilt Haiti. If Mr.Delatour wants his company to be involved with the rebuilding of Haiti, he should resign from his position & wait for 5yrs to prove he has no tie with any govt. affair.

If Mr. Delatour can say:"It is normal.

I don't see any conflict of interest.", it shows clearly, either Haiti is a state baased on no law what so ever, or Mr. Delatour is senile and he has no idea of what conflict of interest means.

I hope Mr. Delatour could read these legal aspect of CONFLICT of INTEREST.

1) You may not hire, promote, supervise, or otherwise participate in the employment of your immediate family or your spouse's immediate family.

2) You may not take any type of official action that will affect the financial interests of your immediate family or your spouse's immediate family.

For instance, you may not participate in a licensing or inspection process involving a family member's business.

3) You may not take any official action affecting your own financial interest, or the financial interest of a business partner, private employer, or any organization for which you serve as an officer, director or trustee.

For instance: you may not take any official action regarding an "after hours" employer, or its geographic competitors; you may not participate in licensing, inspection, zoning or other issues that affect a company you own, or its competitors; if you serve on the Board of a non-profit organization (that is substantially engaged in business activities), you may not take any official action which would impact that organization, or its competitors.

4) You may not, after leaving public service, take a job involving public contracts or any other particular matter in which you participated as a public employee.

That is only a peace of Conflict of Interest.

This is exactly my point earlier! These people doesn't have any idea on how the rest of the world operates! Conflict of interest is totally foreign to our people.

We need companies that can be accounted for, not our people companies! In a way it does sound bad to give all the money to foreign companies but we do not have choices on this one! The country has to be rebuilt mais pas avec nos voleurs!

Do you think these rules should also apply for Bill Clinton?

If so, why aren't we saying anything?

Mr. Brossard,
Would you like to elaborate on what you wanted to say, please?

Because I don't have any clue of what you might have wanted to say.
