The Paris Club of creditor nations said Wednesday it has canceled $62.73 million of debt it is owed by Haiti and that further bilateral agreements have cleared the Caribbean nation's remaining debt to individual club members
The statement said Paris Club welcomes "Haiti's determination to implement a comprehensive poverty reduction strategy and an ambitious economic program providing the basis for sustainable economic growth in the context of a difficult global economic environment."
