He founded the Centre D'Art that eventually became the champion of the "naive Art" form in Haiti. No one could have predicted that the Centre D'Art would serve as a catalyst for such an incredible explosion of the Haitian creative spirit. These paintings are characterized by vivid, raw colors, revealed spontaneity, freedom of expression and freshness. With the arrival of the co-director of the Centre D'Art, Selden Rodman, this art form was able to attain international notoriety.
