Picture of Americans in Haitian Jail for child trafficking
These are pictures of the ten Americans detained in Port-au-Prince on child trafficking charges. Will these people be treated like Haitian prisoners or will they have special preferences. So far, according to these pictures, the detainees affiliated with Baptist churches in Meridian and Twin Falls, Idaho have not been in a four star hotel in Haiti.

Carla Thompson lay on a bed in a scorching jail cell about 8 feet by 5 feet, her ankles bandaged from infected mosquito bites. Sitting on a dirty concrete floor in the cell, another detainee, Corinna Lankford, has a frustrated look on her face.

The detainees, most of whom are arrived in the chaotic days after the Jan. 12 Haiti earthquake. They were detained as they tried to take 33 Haitian children whom the Baptists had said were orphaned into the neighboring Dominican Republic.

Jorge Puello, a fugitive who once acted as the lawyer for a group of U.S. Baptist missionaries accused of kidnapping 33 Haitian children was arrested on human-trafficking charges, authorities said Friday. Jorge Puello, 32, was detained at the United States' request as he left a McDonald's restaurant late Thursday in the Dominican capital, Santo Domingo, said National Drug Control Agency spokesman Roberto Lebron.

Haiti does not need this type of distraction. These people have learned their lesson either they had good or bad intention. Let the world knows their appreciation for all they have done for them. Set these people free and focus on the country.

This thing need to be over with before it gets ugly. These people may or may not have good intentions; however they are already learned their lessons. Please set them free and let the Almighty God be their judgment.

It is not funny what haitians do tho them! i know we as ahitians we always play stupid, now haitians police want to have pride over what ever but when the earquake had passed no ones could do nothing about it ! at same time americans are the one who are helping these people really haitians police was always abusers will be always some abusers i hope all dead right now
