Shleu-Shleu is A Haitian Music Kompa Band. Formed in Haiti, Shleu-Shleu was one of the great Haitian Kompa bands of its time. This was at the heigh of Haitian Mini Djaz revolution in Haiti.
Their combination of swing and delicacy was one reason, but from this distance what stands out from that pre-funk era is the strong Creole flavor found throughout the songs of Shleu Shleu, not just in the melodies but in the wonderful solo sax, a style no longer heard.

As with any other Kompa songs, this classic from Shleu Shleu vibe produces energetic, danceable, robust beats. Kompa is here to stay. Vive Kompa Music

The feeling I got for much of this Music Video of Shleu Shleu is calm, joyful and mysterious in a modern Kompa and Zouk time. On its own this beautiful old Kompa music plaid by Shleu Shleu might not mean much to a random listener, but if you are from the old Kompa school and you know how Kompa music comes to be what it is today, this is a good piece of music to take home with you.

Shleu shleu of my love you make me remimber these beautiful years back in the 70's in Haiti. Life was simple, beautiful and filled with memories. I really think the new generation of Kompa music should go back to the basic and start creating musics like these. Shleu Shleu, You will live in my heart forever
