The "joudalist" just learned that a truck that was transporting Haitians to the Dominican Republic was involved in an accident, consequently close to 20 Haitians perished. It is estimated that the death toll will increase as emergency system is not adequately, and the road for the rescuers to travel to bring them first aids is in need of major repair. Some of the people interviewed reported that the accident occurred close to the city of Ouanaminthe. Will the Haitian authority learn any lesson from this tragedy? Is any authority patrolling Haiti's roads?

Skah Shah Number one will always be the number one Haitian band for me. This is a band has made great contribution to the Haitian music, specifically in the 1970s and 1980s. Among many other great Haitian bands of the time, Skah Shah The Best of ALLTIME thats for sure. Still going strong. They were my favorite as a kid and they still are my favorite now. Yolanda Christina Gigliotti (Dalida)was born in Shoubra, Cairo, Egypt in a middle-class family. Her family was of Italian origin, her parents having emigrated at the turn of the century from Calabria, Italy. The middle child between two brothers, Orlando and Bruno (who would later in Dalida's career change his name to Orlando like his other brother and become her manager). Dalida’s father, Pietro Gigliotti, was first violinist (primo violino) at the Cairo Opera House. Dalida’s early life was spent in the district of Shoubra, where she attended the Scuola Tecnica Commerciale Maria Ausiliatrice, an Italian Catholic school.

With this beautiful song Seksi Chocolat you are going to appreciate the Zouk music in a totally different level. This music video gets you moving and your head bobbin' to Q-Tip bouncin over it's beats. Also it makes you get up and shake your booty. This is one of the best songs on the album. The feeling I got for much of this Zouk video is joy. On its own this beautiful old Zouk music might not mean much to a random listener, but if you are from the old school and you know how Zouk music comes to be what it is today, this is a good piece of music to take home with you.

Claude-Michel Schonberg's latest project with Boublil is The Pirate Queen, a musical about the 16th century Irish pirate, chieftain and adventuress Grace O'Malley. The Pirate Queen completed its 8-week pre-Broadway tryout at Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre on November 26, 2006.
The show underwent further development in preparation for its Broadway previews at the Hilton Theater in March 2007. The Broadway opening date was April 5, 2007. Miss Saigon co-lyricist Richard Maltby, Jr. came on-board to work with Boublil on revisions to the book and lyrics. Additionally, Graciela Daniele worked on the musical staging.

Zouk Is A Style Of Rhythmic Music Originating From The Caribbean Islands Of Guadeloupe And Martinique. Zouk has its roots in kompa music from Haiti, Cadence music from Dominica, as popularised by Grammacks and Exile One. Zouk means 'party' in the local creole of French with English and African influences, all three of which contribute the sound. In Europe it is particularly popular in France, while on the African islands of Cape Verde they have developed their own type of Zouk.
